Korfball Association of the Philippines (KAP) 🏆


What is the background of Korfball?
It was first demonstrated in the Netherlands in 1902 and was played on an international level, primarily in Europe, by the 1970s. It was devised as a game for both sexes. A national association was formed in 1903, and the game spread to Belgium, Indonesia, Suriname, Germany, Spain, New Guinea, and England.

The BAP is invited  to provide technical aspect of the korfball competitions, this include officiating, statistic skill, and table officials.

Philippine University Basketball League (PUBL)

The purpose of the Philippine Inter-School Sport Association (PISSA) is to contribute to the physical and social well-being and intellectual development of the youth.

KAP PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Association as a national sports association (NSA) in the Philippines may establish other offices elsewhere in the Philippines as the Board of Trustees may determine.
 
The Association is organized for the following purposes:

  1. To promote, develop, and govern the sport of korfball in the Philippines.
  2. To organize and oversee korfball competitions, tournaments, and events at local, national, and international levels.
  3. To train and certify coaches, referees, and officials for korfball sports.
  4. To foster camaraderie, sportsmanship, and fair play among players, teams, and stakeholders.
  5. To represent the Philippines in the International Korfball Federation (IKF) and IKF- Asia (IKF-A) Championship and other recognized competitions.
  6. To engage in activities supporting Korfball's growth and sustainability in the Philippines.
  7. The Association shall operate as a non-stock, non-profit organization, and affiliated with the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP) Inc., Orienteering-Philippines, the Philippine Inter-School Sport Association (PISSA), and the Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines (FESSAP) Inc., and several introductory and participation of Clubs Championships in the Philippines.
